2 lbs ground beef, browned
2 - 10oz cans plain tomato sauce
1 can fire roasted diced tomatoes (don't strain)
1 large onion, diced (or less, depending on how much you like onions)
2 tsp crushed red pepper
1 tsp oregano
1 tsp basil (I had to subsitute Italian Seasoning....)
2 tbsp chili powder
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2-1 tsp black pepper
After browning the meat, combine all ingredients in a crockpot and cook on low for at least 8 hours. Add 1 tsp splenda, stir until combined, and turn on high for 5 minutes. It's about 6-8 servings.
I like to add cheese and sour cream to mine... And this time of year they have the Diet Cranberry Sierra Mist.... also a good addition. :)
